Seminar on 'Agriculture Journalism' at DIU

Department of Journalism & Mass Communication of Daffodil International University (DIU) organized a seminar on 'Agriculture Journalism: A Case Study on Hredoye Mati O Manush' on Sunday at 71 Milonayoton of the university.
Media personality and Head of News of Channel i  Shykh Seraj was present in the program as chief guest while Mohammad Nuruzzamn, CEO of Daffodil Family was present as special guest. Presided over by Prof Dr SM Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, Acting Vice Chancellor of DIU, the program was also addressed by Prof AMM Hamidur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science, Dr Farhana Helal Mehtab, Associate Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science, Dr Sheikh Md. Shafiul Islam, Acting Head, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Dr Toufiq Elahi, Riaz Morshed, Lawyer of Supreme Court and Toufiq Ahmed, Multimedia Editor of Channel i.
Dr Sheikh Md. Shafiul Islam was congratulated through this seminar for achieving his PhD from University of Dhaka on the topic of 'Hredoye Matoi O Manush and Shykh Seraz'.
While addressing as the chief guest Shykh Seraj said that he was conducted Hredoye Mati O Manush around 38 years. But, he never thought that one day someone would be interested to conduct research on it. Shykh Seraj thanked Dr. Sheikh Md. Shafiul Islam for completing this gigantic task. He also said that he felt honor for it. In the meantime he also thanked to the PhD Advisor Prof Dr Golam Rahman and the University of Dhaka.
Shykh Seraj urged the students to walk through the way in future which way is created today by Dr Sheikh Md. Shafiul Islam. To get success in life everyone should have to do work with honesty and integrity, he added.
Addressing as the special guest Mohammad Nuruzzaman said that Shykh Seraj is a true change maker in our country. He changed our agricultural economy through his own contribution. He thanked to Dr Sheikh Md. Shafiul Islam for conducting research on Shykh Seraj and his television program Hredoye Mati O Manush.
