Chattogram Bureau :
Jail Killing Day was observed in the city and elsewhere in the district paying glowing tributes to four national leaders who were assassinated inside the Dhaka central jail on this Day.
Awami League (AL), its front organizations, different socio-cultural, professional bodies and educational institutions observed the day through elaborate programs.
The day's program began with the hoisting of national, party and black flags half-mast atop AL offices.
Placing wreaths at the portraits of the four national leaders, wearing black badges, arranging Milad Mahfil, Khatme Quran, special prayers at mosques, temples, churches and other places of worships and discussions were the main features of the day.
