1st day of JSC exam passes peacefully

The first day of Junior School Certificate (JSC) examinations under the Chittagong Education Board (CEB) ended peacefully on Thursday.
On the first day, around 3,196 students were absent in the Bangla first paper examination at different centers of four districts under the CEB, board sources said. A total of 17,9252 students took part in the JSC examinations under CEB this year from 1,239 educational institutions through 224 examination centers this year.
Adequate numbers of vigilance teams, consisting of officials of CEB, were deputed in different centers to check any sort of unfairness or irregularities.
Deputy Commiss-ioner of Chattogram Mohammad Ilias Hossain, CEB Chairman Prof Shaheda Islam, along with officials of district administration visited different examination centers in the city. CEB controller Prof Mahbub Hasan said the examination was held in a peaceful manner as the authority has taken all necessary steps in this regards.
