Moinia Jubo Forum, a youth group named after great spiritual figure Syed Moinuddin Ahmed Maizbhandari launched a nationwide sapling distribution campaign aiming to plant 50 lakh trees across the country. Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon inaugurated the campaign by distributing saplings at a rally held on Tuesday in front of the Jatiya Press Club.
Pratyagata Prabashi Awami Forum
A discussion organised by  'Pratyagata Prabashi Awami Forum' was held at the Jatiya Press Club. In the programme held on Monday the speakers said there is no alternative to victory of Awami League in the next general election. 'AL will be able to win in the next general election with election symbol 'Boat' under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina," they added. The speakers called upon the Awami League leaders and workers to work unitedly to ensure the party's victory in the parliamentary election. Referring to contributions of expatriates to the country's economy, the speakers urged the Bangladeshi expatriates, who returned home, to campaign for the Awami League through social media showcasing the development activities of the incumbent government. They said BNP-Jamaat evil forces are out to hatch conspiracies to create anarchy in the country ahead of the next parliamentary election. They urged the expatriate Bangladeshis who returned home to play active roles to resist the conspiracies. Convenor of the forum  MA Kashem presided over the event.
