Seminar, exhibition on Bangabandhu at JnU

Jagannath University (JnU) Cultural Center hosted a seminar titled 'Bangabandhu in Independence" and a four-day Artworks exhibition titled 'Bangabandhu artworks exhibition -2018" at JnU Central Auditorium and  Ground floor of the New building  respectively  on Monday.
The main objective of arranging the seminar was to spread light of the deep visionary leadership and successes of Bangabandhu at state and foreign policy among young generations.
Prof Dr Mijanur Rahman, Vice Chancellor of JnU delivered speech as chief guest in the seminar. He said that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was someone who held the field of liberal arts and humanities in high regard and students can learn many things of politics from the life of great leader Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as he sacrificed his whole life for the people of Bangladesh.
The seminar presided over by Md Mukhlesur Rahman Mukul, President of JnU Cultural Center while Prof Md Aluotogin, Chairman of Fine Arts department, Dr Bozlir Rashid Khan, Associate Professor of Fine arts department, Tariqul Islam, President of JnU BCL, Sheikh Jaynul Abedin Raseel, General Secretary of JnU BCL were present as special guests at the seminar. Md Nazmul Huda, General Secretary of JnU Cultural Center and teachers and students of different departments were also present in the seminar.
After the seminar, Farida Yasmin, General Secretary of National Press Club inaugurated the Banghabandhu artworks exhibition-2018 with Prof Dr Mizanur Rahman VC of JnU around 1:00pm at ground floor of New Building of the university. Addressing at the inaugural ceremony, She said the exhibition plays an important role for spreading Bangabandhu's ideology throughout the country.
Some 70 artworks from different institutions of the country were displayed, by over 50 artisans. At the program, among the artisans the first six were given awards and certificates. Teachers and students of different departments enthusiastically visited artworks exhibition.
