'Waiting for the opportunity', says Ashwin

  • Print

Indian right arm off spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has stated recently that he is waiting for his opportunity to make a comeback in to the national side in white ball cricket.
Ravichandran Ashwin was the go through bowler for India in all three formats in recent years. But he was sidelined from the white ball cricket since July 2017 due to the lack of wickets in previous series specially ICC Champions Trophy held in England.
His spin partner Ravindra Jadeja was also sidelined along with him. Since the exclusion of spin twins Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal have been in an excellent run for India in white ball cricket.
Ravindra Jadeja was able to make a comeback in white ball cricket in the recently concluded Asia Cup as a replacement for injured Axar Patel. The left arm off spinner also never failed to put up an impressive show in his comeback. Like his partner Ashwin is also hoping for a comeback soon.
