Newly-nominated adviser of Jahangirnagar University Journalists' Association and Professor of Government and Politics Department Bashir Ahmed took charge at a function held on Thursday at the office of the association. Presided over by the President of the association Nur Alam Himel, JU Treasurer Professor Sheikh Monzurul Huq attended the function as the chief guest. Addressing the function, JU Treasurer urged all Jahangirnagar University correspondents working in different media outlets to present objective news and highlight positive aspects of the university. Outgoing adviser of the association and Professor of Physics department Dr Farid Ahmed handed over the charge to Professor Bashir Ahmed. Conducted by the association General Secretary Abdullah Al Mamun Niloy, Director of Public Relation Office Abdus Salam, Deputy Director Ahmed Suman and Ex-Joint Secretary of the organisation  Saiful Islam addressed the function, among others. All members of the association and campus correspondents of different online and print media were present at the function.
