Bomb attack on police van

7 people sued, one held in Sharhankhola

Sharonkhola (Bagerhat) Correspondent :
A case has been filed against seven BNP leaders of BNP and Jamaat on the  charge of throwing bombs targeting police vans  at  Sharankhola in  Bagerhat on Wednesday.
Thana police SI Md Sakhayetul Islam plaintiff recorded the case  with  Sharonkhola police station yesterday .
Police said, on the night of 7th August (Tuesday),  a team of police led by SI Sakhayetul Islam was patrolling  in Amargaiah area.
On the basis of secret information, at around 1.30 m in the upazila, the police reached the adjacent place of Anwar Hawlader's house in the Baniyakhali area, police recovered four hand bombs  from the spot and Publicity Secretary of the Upazila unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal Mohammad Al-Amin Khan (32) was detained from that area.
 The other accused in the case are  - BNP leader Khan Matiur Rahman , TM Jasim Uddin Zafar , Madhu Talukdar , Nazir Kazi , Madrasa Super Mao Zainul Abedin and Chhatra Dal leader Shikul Islam Islam.  
There are more than 25 unidentified people.
Sharankhola Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Kabirul Islam said that police bombed the police van for creating an unstable  situation .
