There are three units, For Unit-1 (Science Section) - 825, Unit-2 (Humanities Section) -1270, Unit-3 (Business Section) - 520 seats and special four categories (Music, Fine Arts, Drama and Film and Television Division - Total 150 seats) The total admission test will be held against 2,765 seats.
Meanwhile, from this academic session JnU has decided to drop multiple choice questions (MCQs) from admission test and all others examinations.
JnU is the first public university to take such decision following the government's ban on MCQs from Primary Education Completion to HSC tests amid severe criticism over a spate of question leaks. Vice-Chancellor Prof Mizanur Rahman told Daily New Nation about written exams that
"If there are MCQs, there are scope for forgery. This is avoidable in written tests."
