France bag the Cup for 2nd time

France clinched the crown of the FIFA World Cup 2018 after thrashing Croatia by 4-2 goals in the final at the Luzhniki Stadium in Russia on Sunday. It was for the second time France won the World Cup Football title. France emerged as the champions in the year of 1998. Croatia became runners-up in the World Cup 2018.
France led the first-half 2-1.
Croatia conceded an own goal by a header of Mario Mandzukic in the 19th minute of the first half.
Ivan Peresic of Croatia leveled the margin by a spectacular forceful left-footer in the 29th minute of the play.
Antoine Griezmann doubled the margin by a spot-kick in the 38th minute of the game.
After the interval, Paul Pogba of France made it 3-1 by a left-footer from the outside of danger zone of Croatia in the 59th minute of the clash.
Mbappe of France increased the tally into 4-1 by a 22-yarder tremendous shot in the 65th minute of the game. He was the second teenager, who scored a goal in the World Cup Football final.
Mario Mandzukic reduced the margin after dodging past French Custodian and put the ball into the blank net in the 69th minute of the clash.
