A 2-day DIU NFE Career Expo 2018 ended at the permanent campus of Daffodil International University (DIU) on Friday. Media personality and host of Hridoye Mati O Manush Shykh Siraj was present as the chief guest at the closing and award giving ceremony as chief guest held at Shadhinota Milonayoyton of the university at Savar in the capital.
Presided over by of Prof Dr Yousuf Mahabubul Islam, Vice Chancellor of DIU, Waresul Habib, Chief Operating Officer, Agricultural Marketing Company Pran-RFL Group was present as the special guest. The function was also addressed among others by Prof Dr Ahmed Ismail Mostafa, Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences and Prof Dr Md. Bellal Hossain, Head, Department of Nutrition and Food Engineering, Adjunct Faculty & Associate Head Dr. Amir Ahmed of NFE Department. The program was conducted by Senior Lecturer Fouzia Akter and Adjunct Faculty of NFE Department.
Department of Nutrition and Food Engineering (NFE) of Daffodil International University in collaboration with Bangladesh Agro Processor's Association (BAPA) organized this 2-Day DIU NFE Career Expo 2018 and Career Partner of the event is Skill.jobs.
Before joining the closing session Shykh Siraj along with Waresul Habib and other distinguished guests visited the 'Multi-Commodity Solar Tunnel Drier Plant (MCSTD) which has been set up in the permanent campus of DIU by CIRDAP with technical assistance from Philippine Center for Post-Harvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech) with the objective to promote and encourage the production of quality dried agricultural and fisheries in Bangladesh. They also visited different stalls and projects of presented by the students.
Over 40 industries are partaking in the event with stalls to display their products and services. The program also witnessed participation from different Donor agencies, Government and non-government organizations. Students of Daffodil International University got the opportunity of career consultation along with on spot interview facilities with the joining organizations.
Addressing as the chief guest Mr. Shykh Siraj urged the students to become successful in life at first fix a target of a career and do the proper plan and to go ahead with honesty and sincerity and finall you must reach your target.
While Addressing as special guest Mr. Waresul Habib said,to become success in corporate sector you must have to add value with your creativity & expertise and must be knowledge based.
