A Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft of Biman Bangladesh Airlines will be showcased in flying displays during the prestigious airshow, which is scheduled to begin on July 16.
Boeing 787-8 is one of the four Dreamliner aircraft which is to be added to Biman's fleet within 18 months.
The 2018 edition of the Farnborough International Airshow, organized by US aircraft giant, Boeing, will be held from July 16 to 22 in Great Britain.
At the airshow, Boeing will present its products and services to define the future of aerospace, said a press release issued by the company on July 9.
Boeing is world's largest aerospace company and is the leading manufacturer of commercial jetliners as well as defense, space, and security systems.
The press release said: "From hypersonic travel to the future of autonomous flight to manned space flight, Boeing will visually present the innovations that will revolutionize the way humans travel around the world and into space.
"Boeing will also highlight its award-winning portfolio of commercial and defense products and its broader services business that offers unmatched lifecycle value."
Dennis Muilenburg, chairman, president and chief executive officer of the Boeing Company, said: "We come to Farnborough building on the foundation of an exceptionally consistent and strong year, and do so on the first anniversary of our services business."
He added: "We are excited to highlight these future technologies as well as our core product offerings with a unique new exhibit that will be open throughout the show."
Visitors can immerse themselves in cutting-edge aviation through a large, 360-degree theater, and board next-generation aircraft using virtual and mixed-reality devices.
The interactive exhibit showcases Boeing's latest family of aircraft and services, and gives visitors a first look at what the company is developing in its second century of aerospace innovation.
The aircrafts showcased in the airshow include a Biman Bangladesh 787-8 featuring the breakthrough capabilities and innovations that have made the 787popular with operators and passengers.
Biman's General Manager (Public Relations) Shakil Meraz said he will be flying to Farnborough on July 14 to attend UK's largest airshow.
"The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, which will be showcased at the airshow, is one out of four Dreamliners that will be added to our fleet soon," Shakil said.
Two Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners will join the fleet in August and November this year-while two other aircraft will be delivered in September 2019, officials of the national flag carrier said.
The 787-8 Dreamliner, showcased at the expo, will be delivered to Bangladesh from the Boeing factory on August 20.
The plane, which is considered to have state of the art technology in the global aviation industry, will not only ensure a comfortable journey but also include new technologies, Biman officials said.
In 2008, Bangladesh signed a $2.1 billion purchase agreement for 10 planes. Of these, Boeing has delivered four 777-300ER and two 737-800 to Biman. The remaining four 787 Dreamliner are awaiting delivery.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina named the four new aircrafts: Akashbeena, Hansabalaka, Gangchil, and Rajhansa.
