3 killed in Chattogram road accident

Three persons were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between a goods-laden truck and a motorbike in Sheikherkhil area under Banshkhali upazila of the district this noon.
The victims were identified as motorcycle rider Nur Hossain, 28, hailed from Banskhali, Abdul Latif Khan, 45, hailed from Barisal district and Mohammad Rubel, 25, hailed from Cox's Bazar district.
The accident occurred in the area at about 12.30 pm when the truck knocked the motorcycle and suddenly caught fire, leaving three people dead on the spot and two others injured, said Nurnabi, sub-inspector of Banshkhali police station.
The injured persons were sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital, he added.
