39 RU students to get gold medals

A total of 39 students of Rajshahi University (RU) are going to receive gold medals as recognition of their brilliant results in graduation and post-graduation level.
On the basis of faculty wise merit list, the best talented students will be given the prestigious medals in three categories on July 26 next.
Aslam Hossain, Deputy Registrar of Academic Section, confirmed the matter Wednesday saying the decision was taken from the 42nd meeting of RU Award Committee.
He said 32 successful students who bagged the first class first position in merit list under eight faculties in honours of 2015 and 2016 and post-graduation in 2014 and 2015, will get the gold medal funded by Agrani Bank Ltd.
Besides, two students, who clinched the top position in MBBS under medicine faculty in 2016 and 2017, will be given the Dr AK Khan Gold medal.
