FIBA Asian Championship U-18 South Asian Qualifiers begin today

The South Asian Qualifiers of the Dhaka Bank FIBA U-18 (Boys) Asian Basketball Championship begin today (Monday) at the Dhanmondi wooden floor gymnasium here.
On the opening day, India will play Sri Lanka at 2pm while hosts Bangladesh will encounter the Maldives at 4pm.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Biren Sikder will inaugurate the meet in the afternoon while Managing Director and CEO of meet's sponsor Dhaka Bank Limited Syed Mahbubur Rahman will be a special guest on the occasion.
Five South Asian countries -- India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, the Maldives and hosts Bangladesh-will participate in the meet.
