Two men were shot dead by unidentified miscreants in a broad-day light at a shop in Tebaria Bazar of Ataikula upazila in Pabna district on Sunday evening.
The deceased have been identified as Abdul Gafur, 55, former Army member and son of Dabir Uddin from Tebaria village and Idris Ali, 35, a grocer and son of Moiz Ali in the area, said Goutam Kumar Biswas, Additional Superintendent of Police of Pabna district.
"The musk and heal mate wearing miscreants gang riding on few motor bikes attacked the shop of Idris Ali at Tebaria Bazar around 6:30pm. They hacked the deceased with the sharp arms and shot them to death," the police official said.  The miscreants exploded bombs to create panic among the crowed market to flee from the spot easily, he said.  The people left the market instantly after shutting the shops, the Additional SP said.  The extremists might have taken part in the film style killing mission, he said.  The bodies were sent to Pabana Sadar Hospital  morgue for an autopsy, he added.  We are investigating the incident, according to him.
