Mexico win over S Korea 2-1

Spirited Mexico won over South Korea by 2-1 goals in their important Group-F match of the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 at the Rostov-on-Don Arena in Russia on Saturday.
Vela of Mexico put his team ahead by a spot-kick in the 26th minute of the game.
Javier Hernandez doubled the margin by scoring a goal after deceiving the Korean goalie in the 66th minute of the match.
Son Heung-min of South Korea reduced the margin by a left-footer in the extra-time.
After conceding the defeat, South Korea were out of the World Cup 2018.
By virtue of yesterday’s victory, Mexico are now on the brink of second round.
All-win Mexico bagged six points from two matches.
Earlier, Mexico registered a lone goal victory over Germany on June 17.
South Korea failed to earn any point playing two matches.
Sweden, the other team of Group-F beat South Korea by one goal to nil on June 18.
Thus, Sweden collected three points from one match.
Reigning champions Germany failed open their account playing one match.
