Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sherif  sought help of all for building a society free from terrorism, extortion and drug, urging them not to patronise drug dealers.
"Please do not help those involved in drug trade in the society," he said this on Saturday while addressing a discussion in the city.
Anandam Institute of Yoga Ayurved and Jougik Hospital jointly organised the discussion titled, 'Role of Yoga Habit for Having Ideal Life' on Ramna Kalimandir premises in Suhrawardy Udyan in the city, marking the International Yoga Day.
Chaired by Yoga Director PKB Prokash Pramithias Chowdhury, the discussion was addressed, among others, by Director General of Bangladesh Film Archive Sachindra Nath Halder and Yoga professor Dr Gobinda Chandra Das.  Giving emphasis on yoga to build a drug-free society, Sherif said yoga and physical exercise can refrain youths from devastating drugs.  The government will incorporate the importance of yoga in the textbooks for students to create mass awareness in this regard, he said.  The minister also urged the school authorities to arrange yoga and physical exercise at their respective school fields for their students.
