Raping of Tripura girl protested

UNB, Khagrachhari :
Indigenous people formed a human chain in front of the local press club on Friday morning, protesting the gang-rape of a Tripura girl.
Speakers at the human chain, arranged by Bangladesh Tripura Welfare Society and Tripura Students' Forum, demanded the immediate arrest of main accused Mozammel and others involved.
A 10th grade student from the Tripura community was reportedly gang-raped by Bangali settlers at Zilla Parishad Park, near Khagrachhari town, around 1:30pm on Tuesday. The girl was undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
Meanwhile, police arrested five people in connection with the incident.
