The Tigress Triumph

Bangladesh women's national cricket team have, for the first time, entered the final of the Asia Cup, or any international tournament for that matter. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our Tigresses. On their way to the final, they beat India, the number 2 team in the current ranking and which remained unbeaten in Asia Cup until that point, while Bangladesh men's cricket team was being humiliated through consecutive defeats in the hands of a less experienced Afghanistan.
What strikes me most is the fact that we, the fans, were shocked by the defeat of the men's team, but did not rejoice over the women's team's glorious win. I believe our female cricketers deserve our gratitude and appropriate attention because they have made us proud on the international stage.
