Prize-giving ceremony of Rating Chess held

The prize-giving ceremony of Walton International Rating Chess Competition was held at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room on Tuesday.
Senior Operative Director (Head of Games & Sports Department) of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest, while Chief Producer of Programme Department of Radio Today Md Fakhrul Haque Shaon was with him as the special guest.
Vice-President of Bangladesh Chess Federation and Chairman of the Tournament Committee KM Shahidullah presided over the prize-giving ceremony.
Grand Master Enamul Hossain Rajib of Saif Sporting Club emerged as the champion of the competition, FIDE Master Khondker Aminul Islam of Bangladesh Navy became runners-up of the meet Sonkalan Bharati of India finished third and FIDE Master Mehedi Hasan Porag of Sheikh Russel Chess Club secured fourth place in the tournament.
Rajib received Taka 51 thousand cash, Aminul Islam was given Taka 31 thousand cash, Sonkalan Bharati earned Taka 21 thousand cash and Porag got Taka 10 thousand cash.
