Terrorist killed, others arrested in Manipur

One terrorist was killed while two others were arrested following an encounter between security forces and suspected cadres of United Tribal Liberation Front (P), police said today.
The gun fight occurred near Kuran Madrassa Ahmedabad in Jiribam district late last night, police said adding that two cadres managed to escape.

UN pulls staff from key port city Hodeida

Yemeni officials say the United Nations has pulled its international staff out of Hodeida on the Red Sea amid a widely expected assault by government forces to seize the strategic port city.
The officials said Tuesday the U.N.'s operations center there is still being manned by local staff. They spoke on condition in anonymity because they weren't authorized to brief reporters.

2 cops dead, 10 soldiers injured in Kashmir

Two policemen were killed and another injured after terrorists attacked a checkpost at a court complex in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.
The terrorists fired at the police guard post in an attack shortly before dawn this morning. The terrorists stole the rifles and ammunition of the two policemen and fled. The two policemen were identified as Ghulam Rasool and Ghulam Hassan.

US-bound flight diverted to Ireland

A United Airlines flight from Rome to Chicago was diverted to Ireland's Shannon Airport on Monday after a message perceived as a potential security concern was discovered on board, Irish police and airline officials said.
The message made reference to a bomb on the plane, a source with knowledge of the investigation told Reuters.
