DU Pro-VC greeted by CoU Syndicate

Vice Chancellor of Comilla University (CoU) greeted Prof Dr Mohammad Samad for his being appointed as Pro-VC (Administration) of Dhaka University. Prof Samad is the Syndicate member of CoU. CoU VC greeted Prof Samad with flower at the 68th syndicate meeting of CoU held on Tuesday at the CoU guesthouse in Dhaka.
Prof Dr Emran Kabir, Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of Comilla University, chaired the syndicate meeting.  Prof Dr AKM Moinul Huq Miazi, Syndicate Member and Professor of Physics Department of Chittagong University, Prof Dr Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, former Principal of Comilla Medical College, Prof Dr Abu Taher, Registrar of Comilla University, Prof Dr Md. Jakir Shayadullah Khan, Chairman of the Department of Economics and Syndicate Member were also present there.
Prof Dr Mohammad Samad has been working as a professor and fellows in various universities of the world. Later 1975, he was involved in various social and cultural movements including anti-autocracy movement and demanding justice for the assassination of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Prof Dr Mohammad Samad was the General Secretary of National Poetry Council and Currently, he is working as the President of Poetry Council. He was a member of the Senate of Dhaka University (two terms, 2009-2016) and National University (2014-2016). He was Member of the Syndicate of National University (two terms, 2009-2012) and 2013-2016), Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (2009-2016) and University of Development Alternative (2011-2016). He was also a member of the Academic Council of Shahjalal University of Science & Technology (2007). He also served as General Secretary of Dhaka University Club (2011).
