UN renews call for fair polls in BD

The United Nations has reiterated its call for the necessity of holding free and fair elections in Bangladesh and showing respect for the need. The United Nations also drew the attention of all political parties and authorities for holding fair polls. "We continue to call for the need for all parties and all authorities to respect the need for free and fair elections in Bangladesh and will continue to do that," Deputy Spokesman for the UN Secretary General Farhan Haq told a Bangladeshi questioner at a regular briefing at the UN headquarters on Tuesday.
