5 DU students receive 'AF Mujibur Rahman Gold Medal Award'

Five meritorious students of the Department of Mathematics of Dhaka University (DU) were awarded "AF Mujibur Rahman Gold Medal Award' for their outstanding academic results in Bachelor of Science (BS) and Master of Science (MS) Examinations on Tuesday.  DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman distributed the awards among the students as the chief guest at a function held at the departmental auditorium on DU campus.
The recipients of AF Mujibur Rahman Gold Medal are-Md Shorif Hossan, Amit Kumar Saha, Kartik Mondol, Md Mijanur Rahman and Kamrun Nahar Mily.  Five more students have received crest for their excellent performances in National Mathematics Olympiad. Besides, DU Mathematics Department accorded reception to the first-year BS Honors students at the function.  Prof Akhtaruzzaman urged the students to maintain a congenial academic atmosphere on the campus for overall development of the country.
