In Narayanganj, Mohammad Rekon, 36, hailing from Meherpur was killed in a reported gunfight with Rab on Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Chattogram road area around 5:30am. Major Ashik, acting commanding

However, the law enforcers found the national identity card and driving license in his pocket, the Rab official said. Three Rab members were injured in the 'gunfight'. Among them, inspector Rabiul received bullet.
The elite force also recovered Yaba, a foreign pistol and several rounds of bullet from the sopt.

Sensing the presence of the elite force, the gang members opened fire on them, prompting them to fire back, triggering the 'gun battle'.
The 'gunfight' left Hamidul dead on the spot, said the Rab official.
