Draw ceremony of Walton U-18 Football held

The draw ceremony, signing ceremony and a press briefing of the Walton Under-18 Football Championship were held at the conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) House on Tuesday. Walton Under-18 Football Championship will begin at the Bangabandhu National Stadium from April 26. Bangladesh Football Federation will arrange the football competition, while Walton Group is the title sponsor of the football championship.
A total of 12 teams splitting into four groups will take part in the upcoming football competition.
Brothers Union Limited, Sheikh Russel KC, Saif Sporting Club Limited have been taken place in Group-A, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited, Rahmatganj MFS, Team BJMC have been billed in Group-B, Chittagong Abahani Limited, Arambagh Krira Sangha, Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited have been placed in Group-C, Dhaka Abahani Limited, Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra, Farashganj Sporting Club have been billed in Group-D.
Top two teams from each group will move into the quarter-finals. The winners of the quarter-finals will reach the semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals will face each other in the final. The winning team of the final will be the champions of the football meet.
Senior Vice-President of BFF Abdus Salam Murshedy, Senior Operative Director (Head of Games & Sports Department) of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, Deputy Chairman of Professional Football League Committee Abdur Rahim, Member of BFF Satyajit Das Rupu, Member of BFF Zakir Hossain Chowdhury were present, among others.
An agreement was signed between Walton Group and BFF. FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn and Abdus Salam Murshedy signed the agreement papers on behalf of their respective organizations.
The champions will be awarded Taka five lakh, while the runners-up will get Taka two lakh and the participating teams will be given Taka two lakh each.
