Baishakh! Flush us in ecstasy

  • Print

-Mohammad Mamun Mia

Baishakh!
Come to flush us in ecstasy
We people love to live in fantasy.
Come! Mingle us with you,
We owe to you;
We're infatuated with you
And ne'er we wanna leave you!

You remove weariness; fuel ourselves with loveliness
You’re the holder of culture and tradition
To give us identity is your mission.

We find laughter in everybody else
Your lustre spreads o'er earth and everyplace
We're enthralled at the advent of you
We're thrilled to nourish you.

Sometimes you’re a destroyer
Annihilate like a power monger
We people are sufferer.

Please give up cruelty
Come! With a renowned vigour
Be a preserver.
