Annual Art Exhibition at RU

A five-day art exhibition titled "Annual Art Exhibition-2018" ended on Sunday at the Fine Arts Faculty of Rajshahi University (RU).
The ceramics and sculpture department faculty organised the annual exhibition at the two gallery rooms at the faculty where a total of around hundred arts, including ceramics and sculptures by the department are on the display.
RU Vice Chancellor Prof M Abdus Sobhan inaugurated the exhibition at 10am on March 22 addressing as chief guest. Among others, RU Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Ananda Kumar Sahah and Treasurer Prof AKM Mostafizur Rahman addressed the inaugural ceremony as special guests with department's chairman Prof Mostafa Sharif Anowar in the chair.
In the programme, artists Asadul Islam Asad and Bonijul Haque were awarded for their outstanding contributions in the arts sectors.
Later, the guests visited the gallery rooms and exhibited the arts.
Subroto Gain, a second year student of Mass Communication And Journalism Department who visited the exhibition on Sunday, told New Nation that it was his first visit to such exhibition.
"The works are seemed to be real, and in particular, they are really inspiring", he said. The exhibition would remain opened for everyone toady till 5pm.
