Bangladesh will face Sri Lanka in the first Twenty20 International Cricket match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city's Mirpur today. The clash begins at 5.00 pm. GTV will telecast the match live from the arena.
Captain of Bangladesh team Mahmudullah Riyad said, " T20 format is a different game. The speed of this game is also different. There are some questions arisen about our performance in T20 Cricket, we want to dissolve that."
Mahmudullah said, " We want to give a message to all the teams of the world, we have advance in Twenty20 Cricket like Test and ODI."
Riyad said, " There are some tactical matters in T20 Cricket. If we can execute that and also use our skill, we can win the T20I series."
He said, " We have not yet finalized our best eleven. I hope that those, who are little bit injured, will recover soon and play tomorrow.    
I have confidence about the newcomers. I hope we shall play our best cricket and will win the series.
Dependable batsman Upul Tharanga of Sri Lanka said, " We performed well in the Tri-Nation ODI series and Test series. We are confident. There are some newcomers in our squad. We are on a good momentum. We want to retain that. We look forward to perform well."
Tharanga said, " We are in a good position after winning the Tri-Nation ODI series and the Test series. We have high expectation."
