19000 pcs of Yaba seized

A vigilance team of Narcotics Control Department, Chittagong Metro Sub-Zone recovered 19000 pieces of yaba tablets from Afghan Mosque are under Bakalia thana in city yesterday morning. sensing on secret tip off, a NCD team conducted raid in Delwar Haji Building  and managed to recover these intoxicated tablets.
In this connection, two drug traffickers were held from the spot.  The drug peddlers identified as Md. Jahir Hasan and Hafizizur Rahman of  Ramu thana under cox's Bazar district.  Deputy Director of NCD, Chittagong Shamim ahmed  told that  these two drug  traffickers were residing in Delwar Haji building on rental basis and acting on information, the narcotics team conducted raid.  According to their confession, they are involved with drug trafficking since long in Chittagong and Cox's Bazar.
2 held in over  SSC question leak: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested two members of a gang involved in the SSC question paper leak from Dabua Bazar area in Raozan Upazila here on Sunday night.
The arrestees are Md Imran, 18 and Md Nurul Absar Sabuj, 20.On information, a team of Rab-7 conducted a drive in the area and arrested the duo, said Mimtanur Rahman, Senior Assistant Director of Rab-7.Earlier on Saturday, police arrested eight people, including two women and a female student, in connection with their suspected involvement in leaking the question paper of Mathematics exam.
