Community Policing Forum office inaugurated

Khulna Metropolitan City Community Policing Forum office  of 6 No Ward was inaugurated on Sunday evening in a meeting held at the office of Ward councilor, located near at Pabla Shobuj Shangho area under Daulatpur police station under Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP). Molla Jahangir Hossain, Deputy Police Commissioner (DC, North) attended the ceremony as chief guest while Senior Assistant Commissioner of police of Daulatpur Zone Sumon Ranjon Sarkar  and Officer-in-charge (OC) of Daulatpur police station Md. Humayun Kabir were present as special guests in the function. Md. Habibur Rahman, President of 6 No. Ward community policing committee presided over the meeting.
Bags, umbrellas distributed among pry achool  students at Fulchhari
GAIBANDHA: School bags and umbrellas were distributed among 274 students of two primary schools in Fulchhari upazila of the district at free of cost on Sunday. Fulchhari Union Parishad distributed the bags and umbrellas to the students of Deluabari Govt. Primary School and Bagmari Govt. Primary School of the union in assistance with Local Government Support Project-3. The objective of the distribution was to encourage the students to go to schools and prevent the dropout rates as well, UP officials said. Fulchhari upazila chairman Habibur Rahman formally handed over things to the students at a function as the chief guest. UP chairman Abdul Gafur Mondal, upazila Press Club president Aminul Haque, project chairperson Sheuly Begum, public representatives, head teachers of the schools, and local elite were present on the occasion, reports BSS.
Minor boy  killed in Chandpur road crash
CHANDPUR: A six-month-old baby boy was killed and his parent injured as a battery-run easy-bike overturned after being hit by a CNG-run auto- rickshaw in Uttar Algee area of Haimchar upazila on Monday evening.  The deceased was identified as Sabbir Hossain, son of Mostafa Patwary. The accident took place when the auto-rickshaw driver hit the speedy easy-bike during overtaking, leaving Sabbir dead on the spot. Police arrested easy-bike driver Shohag Miah and seized his vehicle, reports UNB.
Dwelling house gutted in Kachua

A dwelling house belonging to day labour Sayeedul Shaikh, son of one late Moti Shaikh of village Charsonakur within Magia Union under Kachua Upazila in Bagerhat was completed gutted on Saturday morning when it caught fire, according to a report received here. The fire originated from the kitchen spread to the adjacent dwelling house and engulfed it within a short time when all the inmates were absent from the house. As a result, day labour Sayeed along with his old mother, minor son and wife were rendered homeless. They have been passing their days in the open sky.
4 injured by miscreants’ attack      
4 persons including women and children were injured, one seriously when some miscreants allegedly attacked the house of one Shamsul Haq Khan of village Kaligati under Chitalmari Upazila in Bagerhat district recently  according to a delayed report received here. The injured persons are Shamsul Haq's wife Shahinur Begum (45), son Shakil Khan (19), grand daughter Taslima Nishad (18) and grand son Shoheb Shaikh (03). In the following morning they were admitted to Citalmari Upazila Health Complex for their treatment. But considering the precarious condition of Shahinur Begum she was shifted from there to Khulna Medical College Hospital for better treatment.
