'Robber' lynched in Munshiganj

A suspected robber was beaten to death by mob at Bhelua village in Tongibari upazila of Munshiganj early Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Babul Hossain Babu, 32, son of one Shahjahan, residence of Postogola in the capital.
Tongibari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Yardous Hossain said that Babu was caught by locals while fleeing after committing a robbery. He was beaten up badly and later taken to Tongibari
Health Complex in a critical condition where the on duty doctors declared him dead around 9:00am.
The body was sent to Munshiganj Sadar Hospital for an autopsy, the police official said.
Filing a case regarding the murder with the police station was under process, the OC said.
