CJ convenes full court meeting tomorrow

Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain has convened a full court meeting with the High Court judges on Wednesday to take decision on few issues including promotion of 141 additional district judges to the post of district judges.
The meeting will be held at the Conference Room of the Administration Building-4 of the Supreme Court at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, SC acting registrar general Md Zakir Hossain told the journalists.
A notification was also issued in this regard in the website of the Supreme Court.
Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain will preside over the full court meeting where the judges of the High Court Division of the SC will attend.
The meeting may take decision on promotion of 141 additional district judges to the post of district judges, he said, adding that the Law Ministry has sent a proposal for their promotion around two years back to the Supreme Court for its approval.
Zakir Hossain, however, could not say why the proposal was not approved by the SC in two years.
