Tanbir sets up victory for Sheikh Jamal in DPDCL

Tanbir Hayder smashed a breezy half century as Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club notched a 28-run victory over Agrani Bank Cricket Club in the 12th match of Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPDCL) held on Sunday at BKSP ground in Savar.
Sent to bat first by Agrani Bank, Sheikh Jamal piled up a challenging total of 294 for 9 from their stipulated 50 overs.
Tanbir smashed 48-ball off 71 runs to take Sheikh Jamal to a near three hundred runs land mark, after useful contribution from DS Rangi (58), Shykat Ali (43) and Elias Sunny (40).
Pacer Shafiul Islam was the pick of Agrani Bank bowler as he grabbed four wickets conceding 68 runs. He was well supported by Abdur Razzak and Soumya Sarkar who both shared two wickets apiece conceding 40 and 50 runs respectively.
Chasing a massive winning target of 295 runs set by Sheikh Jamal, Agrani Bank lost wickets in regular intervals and finally all out for 49.1 overs.
Wicket keeper Dhiman Ghosh top scored with 48 runs followed by Shafiul Islam (44) and Rafatullah (43) for Agrani Bank.
Nazmul Islam and Elias Sunny were the most successful bowlers as they captured three Agrani Bank's wickets each conceding 21 and 50 runs respectively while Sohag Gazi took two wickets for 55 runs.
Tanbir Hayder of Sheikh Jamal was named the player of the match for his entertaining innings.
