Mazid stars of Rupganj victory in DPDCL
Despite Kazi Anik's five-wicket haul, Legends of Rupganj recorded a 62-run victory over Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited in the 11th match of Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPDCL) held on Sunday at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah.
Put to bat first by Mohammedan, Rupganj scored a decent total of 231 for 7 from their allotted 50 overs, courtesy of polish knock by opener Abdul Mazid.
A part from Kazi Anik's five wickets for 44 runs, Enamul Haque took two wickets giving away 38 runs.
In reply, Mohammedan found the chase stiff and finally all out for 169 in 44.3 overs with skipper Shamsur Rahman top scoring 34 runs.
Mosharraf Hossain was the pick of Rupganj bowler as he grabbed four wickets conceding 23 runs.
He was well supported by Asif Hasan and Mohammad Shahid who shared three wickets each for 33 and 37 runs respectively.
Abdul Mazid of Rupganj was named the player of the match for his impressive batting performance.
