Renowned social worker, sports organiser, politician, and former Councillor of Rangamati Municipality Rabindra Lal Dey (Robi Member) died  at 10:20 am on Thursday  at a private hospital in Chittagong.
 He was 59. He was suffering from cancer.
Late Rabindra Lal Dey was twice elected Councilor of Rangamati Municipality.
Apart from this, he was also associated with various religious and social organisations including Rangamati Puja Udjapan Parishad, Gitasram Managing Committee, Rangamati District Unit of Bangladesh Family Planning Association and Sadar Upazila Sports Association. He was also Vice-president of district BNP.
