SUB 3rd Convocation held

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, MP speaks at the 3rd convocation of Stamford University Bangladesh at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital recently.

Stamford University Bangladesh (SUB) held its third convocation at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) by conferring degrees to the graduating students of 14 departments of the University.  Undergraduate and graduate degrees were provided in the convocation. A total of 1772 graduates received degrees in this convocation.
Five students were awarded with the Chancellor's Gold Medal while twenty received the Vice Chancellor's Award.
Razia Afrin (52 batch) of Masters of Business Administration, Prianka Maria Sarkar (46 batch) of Economics, Nafisa Tabassum (51 batch) of Microbiology, Siddiqa Binte Halim (45 batch) of LMF, Md. Rafiqul Islam (56 batch) of MCE, were awarded the Chancellor's Gold Medal in the convocation.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid was the chief guest and presided the "Stamford Convocation 2018" program. The educationist Prof Dr AK Azad Chowdhury attended as the convocation speaker.
Nurul Islam Nahid, MP, said, "the private universities have to maintain the highest standard of education which will not differentiate with the education of the public universities. The universities should equip with the proper facilities for imparting standard education like the advanced countries."
In the convocation program, Prof Abdul Mannan, Chairman, UGC of Bangladesh delivered the speech. However, SUB Trustee Board Chairman, Fatinaz Feroz, Vice-Chancellor, Prof Mohammad Al Naki and Executive Committee Member of Association of Private University of Bangladesh, AKM Enamul Haque Shamim also spoke on the occasion.
