SUB English Dept holds picnic

A picnic organized by the English Department of Stamford University Bangladesh (SUB) was held recently with great enthusiasm and merriment. The venue was Megh Bari Resort of Gazipur. Chairman of the Department Prof Waliul Islam participated in the picnic as chief guest and the special guests were Minhajul Abedin and Aroop Saha, assistant professors of the Department. Rifat Bin Zia, Rakhil Khandokar, Zariba Mahrin Ratri, Rashed Ahmed, Susmita Sarkar Shuvra, Sobhan Pial carefully planned and operated the event on behalf of the students. Current undergraduate and graduate students from all the batches of Siddheswari and Dhanmondi campus, along with the Stamford Alumnae and Faculty Members of English Department took part in this recreational event. The event was full off cultural activities, sports, music, dance, recitation and a raffle draw. Three dramas were presented with the theme of 'Stamford University is the Best', 'English Department Rocks', 'We are Proud to be Stamfordian'.
Apart from relaxation and enjoyment, the picnic also aimed at building up strong unity, tolerance and independent spirit among the students of English Department.
