Pabna champions in Inter-Divisional Women's Volleyball

Pabna district of Rajshahi Division emerged champions in the Inter-Divisional Women's Volleyball competition beating Rajbari district of Dhaka Division by 3-0 set in the final held on Saturday at Dhanmondi Sultana Kamal Women's Sports Complex here, Bangladesh Women's Sports Association (BWSA) press release said.
Besides, Kishorganj district finished third in the completion. Fouzia Yesmin of Pabna district was named the best player of the competition.
Earlier, on way to the final today, Pabna district beat Kishorganj district by 3-0 set in the first semi-final while Rajbari district defeated Mymensingh district by 3-1 set in the second semis.
Advocate Sanjida Khanam MP was the chief guest in the three-day meet and distributed the prizes. BWSA president Mahbub Ara Gini presided over the closing ceremony.
BWSA general secretary Hamida Begum, volleyball sub committee's convener Farida Akter Begum, member secretary Nasima Chowdhury Shirin and members of BWSA were present on the occasion.
