Action against misuse of money allocated for disabled: Sherif

Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sherif on Saturday said action will be taken against social service and welfare institutions for the disabled, if are found involved in embezzling money allocated for the differently able people.
"The registration of those organistions will be cancelled if they are found guilty in misusing the money allocated for the welfare of the disabled, "the minister said while addressing as chief guest at a blanket distribution programme at Freedom Fighter Nurul Haque Memorial Artistic and Disable School in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna district.
RUN Development Society organized the programme with President of Shara union of Awami League unit Jamshed Ali Sarker in the chair.
General Secretary of the Society M Gausul Alam and Headmaster of the school Azizul Haque Arju were present, among others.
Later, the minister distributed blankets among the disabled and distressed people.
