Staff Reporter :
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's plan for election time government will plunge the country into a fresh crisis, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said.
"The prime minister is heading towards a one-sided election again," Fakhrul told reporters at BNP chief Khaleda Zia's Gulshan office in Dhaka on Friday evening.
Earlier this evening, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina told the nation that the next parliamentary election will be held under an election-time government as per the constitutional rules.
She had also called upon all political parties to participate in the election.
BNP, the party that had boycotted the last general election, is currently demanding a neutral and non-partisan election-time government.
