Almas Kabir made BASIS President

Syed Almas Kabir, Chief Executive Officer of MetroNet Bangladesh Limited, is serving as a Director of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), the largest national trade body for IT and ITES industry of the country, says a press release.
He has been associated with the ICT industry for the last 28 years. He studied Electrical Engineering at Jadavpur University, India and did his Masters from New York University.
He was attached to academia as an Associate Professor at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) for 13 years. He also was involved in various administrative roles in IUB, North South University & City University.
Kabir was an adjunct faculty at National University and Northern University. He took MetroNet to new heights since 2006, establishing it as the largest and most trusted nationwide data-communication company in the country offering Intranet, Internet, IP Telephony, Cloud Computing, FinTech and other IT Enabled Services.
