Enayet Hossain Chowdhury, organizing commander of district Muktijoddha Sangsad, said Pakistan occupation army capturing Barisal district town on April 25, 1971 created their regional headquarter at the the-then water and power development authourity (WAPDA) office premises considering its convenience in connecting the spot with the region by road and water.
