BISE Chairman asked to form managing body

The Education Ministry has asked the chairman of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka to form the managing committee for Lakehead Grammar School comprising Army official on Wednesday. The Ministry also directed to appoint the principal from the Education Core of the Army.

The ministry issued the order following the direction of the Supreme Court.  
The Education Ministry closed the school on November 6 suspecting militancy connection.  
"The Supreme Court on December 05 directed the Education Ministry to form a managing committee in seven days to run the Lakehead Grammar School, which was shut down recently. The apex court in its order asked the ministry to form the managing committee headed by a divisional commissioner where the persons with the military background will be included. The principal of the institution will also be from the army. Following the SC's direction, the ministry issued the order," it said.
