2 killed in Rajshahi road crash

Two persons were killed and 25 others received injuries in a head on collision between two passenger buses at Gadagari in Rajshahi district on Wednesday.

UNB, Rajshahi :
Two people were killed and 20 others injured in a road accident in Matikata area on Dhaka-Rajshahi highway in Godagari upazila on Wednesday morning.
One of the deceased was identified as Shuvo, son of Saikat of Porsha upazila of Naogaon district
Abdul Karim, sub-inspector of Godagari Police Station, said the accident took place around 7:00 am when a Dhaka-bound bus of Ekata Enterprise collided head-on with a Chapainawabganj-bound bus of Hridoy Travels here, leaving one dead on the spot and 21 others injured.
One of the injured died on way to hospital.
The injured were taken to Premtoli Health Complex in Godagari and Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
The condition of Saiful Islam, driver of the Hridoy Travels bus, and its supervisor Mukul was critical, the SI added.
