Imrul Kayes passes 1000-run landmark

Imrul Kayes of Comilla Victorians passed the 1000-run landmark in BPL Twenty20 Cricket.
Imrul touched his 1000-run landmark hitting a boundary of the first delivery of the Nazmul Hossain Apu's eighth over. Kayes reached the 1000-run landmark against Rangpur Riders on the Saturday night.
He is the sixth batsman of Bangladesh, who scored 1000 runs in BPL.
Earlier, Mushfiqur Rahim ( 1237), Mahmudullah Riyad (1221), Shakib Al Hasan (1044), Tamim Iqbal (1051) and Anamul Haque Bijoy (1024) passed 1000-run landmark.
Imrul Kayes played 45 matches to score above 1000 runs.Sabbir Rahman of Sylhet Sixers needs 27 runs to reach the 1000-run landmark.
On the other hand, Captain of Sylhet Sixers Nasir Hossain requires 33 runs to cross the 1000-run landmark. Nasir played 54 BPL matches.
