Dipu, Uzzal win silver in Taekwondo in Malaysia

Dipu Chakma of Bangladesh Army won silver medal in the Poomsae category in the senior open division of 15th International Clubs Open Taekwondo Championship that concluded on Monday last in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia.
In another category, Uzzal Kumar Dev of Bangladesh Ansar & VDP bagged silver medal in the men's 68 kg weight class of senior open sparring category while Labiba secured silver medal in the 46 kg weight class sparring category junior women's division.
Besides, Kawan Chak secured bronze in the -54 kg weight category of sparring category men's division, while Najifa Thasin Raina bagged bronze medal in the -67 kg weight category of sparring category women's division, Faria Ahmed won one bronze in +73 kg weight category, Fahat Tabassum Mounota won bronze in -44 kg weight category of junior women's division, Freana Koraishe bagged bronze in -59 kg weight category and Riaz Ramisa secured bronze in -55 kg weight category.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh taekwondo team received active participation award on behalf of tournament organizing committee.
