CU introduces 3 new subjects

The authority of Chittagong University (CU) is going to introduce three new subjects from the academic session 2017-18.
The new subjects are -Criminology and Develo-pment Studies departments under Social Science Faculty and Department of Bangladesh Studies under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
CU Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury disclosed this while inaugurating the automation system of the admission process of first-year honors courses under 2017-18 academic session at CU IT Center on Tuesday.
The VC also informed that the university will enroll a total of 4924 students in 51 departments and institutes in this academic session.
"CU from this session will conduct admission tests under only four units-Science, Business Studies, Humanities and Combined Unit instead of 10 in order to save money of the admission seekers", he added.
 Chief of CU academic section SM Akbar Hossain, also the member secretary of the admission committee, said admission seekers will have to register for the tests through automation system which has begun at 2pm today and will continue till 12am on October 4.
