Lightning kills 4 in Netrakona

At least  four persons were killed by lightning strikes in different areas of Modan, Barhatta, Kendua and Netrakona Sader Upazilas under Netrakona district during the last 24 hours ending on  Tuesday .
Police and local people said , The dead were identified as Milon Khan,, 28 , of village Bagmara in Modan upazila, Ratan Mia ,38, of village Bisnopur under Kendua upazila, BoKul Mia, 25, of village Babnikona under Barhatta upazila and Mufazzal Mia, 15, of village Karli under Netrakona sader upazila.
All of them  were hit by thunderbolts  when they were  fishing in different natural open water-bodies  nearby  their houses  during light to  moderate rainfall, the sources added.
Members of Border Guard Bangladesh seized a foreign pistol along with three rounds of bullets carrying out a raid at Andulia under Chaugachha police station on Monday night, Lt Colonel Ariful Hoque, commanding officer, 49 Border Guard Battalion told.
